"Live
long, ride well, and win to your heart's content."
Ima Star of Doc Bar - "Star"-
is a 1999 model black bay, 14.3 hands, perfect conformation. Built like a bull dog, she has a nice
hip, wide chest, and long body. She has an excellent disposition with a
natural desire to work, with the speed of her race ancestors &
the sound mind of her cow breeding. She is very catty
with quick turns and automatic stops. Star is a seasoned barrel
and pole mare who has been chasing cans and bending poles for the
last four years. She is consistent, running the same pattern
no matter the ground conditions. She has been taken to
Little Rock, Benton, and Pine Bluff, as well as many local pens
throughout the state. She has qualified for the AR State
Horse Show in Little Rock every year. Depending on the
rider, the pen and the pattern, she runs a consistent 15.9 to 16.4
second barrel pattern. She is almost as tough a competitor
in poles, running about a second off the fastest times. All
three of our daughters have ridden or competed on this mare, but
don't let that fool you. She needs a serious, experienced
rider as she is fast. No buck, no rear, and no gate
issues. She is all business in the pen. She is sound
and has never had any health issues. Our girls have won a
saddle, buckles, trophies, plaques, jackpot money, and more
ribbons than you could count on this mare. Whether you take
her to a local fun show or an jackpot race, she comes in with the
same attitude and same speed. We have not extensively hauled
her. She has always been run in leg wraps and boots with
shoes. She has been started on heading/healing but our girls
didn't find that as exciting as the cans and she was never
finished out. She would make an excellent breakaway horse if
someone so desired. We've raised two foals out of her and
she is an excellent dam, easy to work with, with no issues or
testiness. She is not marish or moody. Her only issues
are that she is "cinchy" and will drop or pull back if
cinched too hard too fast. She also pulls back when
tied. We never tied her in the trailer until the slants were
closed and we used a tie off made for pulling back and problem was
solved. Other than that, she has no vices, problems or
issues. Loads of pictures of her over the years in the photo
albums. This is a seasoned, consistent, sound mare at her
prime. $8500 obo

Bentleys Bell - "Barbie"-
is a 1996 sorrel AQHA Appendix mare. Barbie has the look and
build of a well-built quarter horse. She is extremely
intelligent and level-headed and has a sweet, laid-back
disposition that those in the arena look for. Loaded with
speed, Barbie has been a natural in the arena. She comes in
quiet, hunting for barrels. Her first foal,
"Malibu," arrived in early 2009 and she is a flashy
sorrel loaded with her mother's chrome, level-head and "gotta
love her" personality. We have had this mare for many
years and our girls have done very well with her. Like Star,
she has been hauled all over the state and runs in any kind of
ground condition. This mare would be an excellent
"intermediate" horse for someone looking for a bit more
speed but not ready for the speed Star provides. Depending
on the pen, the pattern and the rider, Barbie runs a consistent
16.7 to 17.3 barrel pattern. She loves the poles and is
normally only a second to a second and a half off the fastest
times. I do suggest an intermediate rider as she is quick
and likes to run. Her only issue is sometimes at the gate
she will "lock up" and have to be led in by another
horse. This normally only happens at a closed gate. If
allowed to run in, she is fine. No buck, no rear, and not a
mean bone in her body. You can take her anywhere. For
someone with experience looking for a step-up from their first
horse or pony or a weekend warrior who wants to play in the pen,
she is the perfect partner. Healthy and sound. Check
her out in action in the photo albums. $3500 obo |

Rumble in the Jungle - "Rumy" - is a
1992 chestnut appendix mare. At 15 hands tall, she has a huge stride
that covers a lot of ground. Out of a Lance Graves mare, she's spent
eight of her fifteen years in Hartshorne, OK, and bears the LG brand.
Her breeding and background says it all. Even-tempered and always
consistent, this girl has it all. Although not a resident at PQH as
long as Star and Barbie, Rumy has been providing the ride for us for the
past two years. I would trust anyone, anywhere on this mare.
She is an excellent beginner horse. Although she is fast, she is
also very responsive and, unlike Barbie and Star, will slow down and rate
for the rider when asked. If you want this gal to walk, she will,
but if you ask her to run, you'd better be ready. She has no vices
that we have been able to find. No buck, no rear, in and out of the
gate without hesitation. She sells as a barrel horse ONLY.
While we have started her pole bending and she is familiar with the
pattern, she is not finished or seasoned in poles. We've taken her
trail riding with complete novices in the saddle and the girls ride her
around the woods on our property. She has had the foundation you
look for with the years you need when looking for that perfect beginner or
first step up horse. Finding one as laid back and easy to get along
with that can be competitive in the pen is often hard to find. We do
believe she is bred for a 2010 foal from our Easy Jet stallion, so this is
a two-for-one package. Don't let that scare you. Her foal will
be here and plenty old enough to leave home for a few hours when show
season rolls around next year. Several pics in the photo
albums. $4000 obo |

Lollys Plan - "Lolly" - is
a 2004 model gray AQHA filly. Beautiful dapples and built to run
barrels. This girl is bred for it, too, with her Easy Jet, Tiny
Charger, and Game Plan breeding. We are currently putting her under
saddle and getting some of that all important ride time in on her so that
when she is introduced to the arena, she is ready to handle the
pressure. Lolly has a sweet disposition and has been a delight to
break out. She is eager to please and learns quickly. We are
sure that when it is time to bring her in the pen, she is going to be a
knock-out. Lolly is sold as an unbroke mare, even though she has
been saddled and ridden. Her time in the saddle has not been
extensive enough for use to honestly advertise her that way. She is
an excellent dam, producing a beautiful foal for us in 2009. For
someone looking for a well built, beautiful mare to breed or break out
their own way, she is the one. Pictures coming soon. $800
